- All fishing gear and tackle.
- Cooler bags, ice and water provided.
- BYO food and drinks (cans only) welcome, excl licensed venues
- Passengers are required to purchase their own meals and beverages at licensed venues.
- Enclosed footwear and sun safety items are recommended.
Anglers are welcome to bring their own fishing gear for the tour.

Maximum combined passenger weight for 3 pax bookings, for this tour is 250kg.
Bookings require a minimum of 48 hours to book the private swimming hole and are subject to availability of NT Parks and Wildlife.
- Minimum 2 pax for all bookings.
- Maximum individual passenger weight for an R44 is 131kg (2-3 pax bookings)
- Maximum individual passenger weight for a Bell206 is 145kg (min 4 pax bookings)

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a cancellation policy?
A 50% refund (minus associated fees) will be issued if a booking is cancelled 3 days before tour departure.
Nil refund for bookings cancelled within 3 days of tour departure.
Nil refund if a passenger is denied boarding due to passenger weights exceeding those provided on bookings, resulting in exceedance of an aircrafts maximum take-off weight.
The full booking amount will be charged for no shows.
In the event of passenger illness, with a medical certificate, FRH will reschedule the flight.
Cancellations must be made only via phone call to 0477 619 303 or in writing, emailed to office@helitoursdarwin.com.au. Please ensure you receive a cancellation confirmation, cancellations via text message will not be accepted.
Do you provide transfers?
We offer a shuttle bus for tours departing from MKT Airfield only. Shuttle Bus is an additional cost, which can be added on at tour checkout.

Unfortunately, we do not provide transfers for tours departing from Dundee Beach.
What happens if the weather is bad or if it is raining on the day of our bookings?
We closely monitor weather conditions on a daily basis and our staff will endeavour to provide passengers with as much notice as possible and updates on current weather circumstances however, we cannot always guarantee we will be able to achieve this as weather conditions are often unpredictable.
Please read the ‘Cancellation & Changes by FRH’ and ‘Weather Conditions’ sections of our Terms and Conditions for further information.
Can we talk during the flight?
Yes, you will be fitted with headsets that enable passengers and the pilot to talk to each other during the flight.
Do we get to keep the fish caught on the tour?
No, we do not take any fish home, we only catch and release.
When is the best time of year to Heli Fish?
The optimum fishing period is January to April.
Can we bring our own food and drinks on the tour?
Passengers are welcome to BYO food and drinks (cans only) for the Heli Fish and swimming hole parts of the tour. BYO not permitted to licenced venues.
All rubbish is to be taken with passengers upon departure from landing spots.
Are food and beverages included in the tour price?
Food and beverage costs are not included in tour price and are to be paid by in full by passengers upon ordering at the chosen venue.
Where do the Heli Pub Crawls End?
All our Heli Pub Crawl tours end at Noonamah Tavern. Passengers will be dropped at Noonamah Tavern to enjoy a cold beverage whilst the helicopters are put away at the FRH hangar (5 min drive).
Passengers will be picked up from Noonamah by our complimentary shuttle and returned to FRH hangar to make their own way home.
If the shuttle bus has been added on to the tour booking, passengers will be picked up from Noonamah by the shuttle bus and taken to their chosen drop-off location in the city.
Are there rules for alcohol consumption and helicopters?
All passengers must adhere to the rules and regulations set by the licensed venue they are attending.
Strict aviation regulations apply to the carriage of disorderly or abusive passengers and those under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
The pilot in command reserves the right to refuse travel to a passenger should the passenger be deemed to pose a safety risk to the flight at any point in the tour. In the event of this occurring, no refund will be issued and the passenger shall be responsible for making their own arrangements to return to Darwin.
